Operating since at least 1990, the BC Family Hearing Resource Society provides specialized early intervention services for deaf and hard of hearing children and their families throughout British Columbia. The organization is committed to family-centered care, reconciliation, and building inclusive relationships across the province's diverse territories. A unique aspect of the clinic is its leadership team, which consists of professionals and board members who are either hard of hearing themselves or are parents of children who have transitioned through the program. This lived experience, combined with its role as a clinical teaching and research unit, allows the society to offer deeply empathetic and evidence-based support.
